I think it is great that Americans are now concerned about Japanese exposure to radiation...
On a less sarcastic note, I hope this situation does not get out of control since nuclear power is probably the cleanest and most efficient sources of power. Very safe too, despite what you'll hear about on the news. Even when all hell breaks loose, it's still probably a lot less detrimental to the environment compared to coal.

Energy Bill Passes House
A major energy bill has just barely passed in the house. The bill will now move to the senate. We can only hope it will pass in the senate. This is a major piece of legislation that will greatly change how our country tackles environmental and energy related concerns.
While the naysayers will tell you this will raise your taxes, what it really does is allow us to finally try to right climate change, something that is expensive but something that we are all in together.
It should be noted that Americans would be willing to pay $19/month to handle climate change. The proposed plan will cost approximately $15/month to the average family.

Michelle Bachman: Traitor
Congresswoman Michelle Bachman is a traitor to the United States of America. She has recently spoken in favor of an "armed" revolution against the government because of the planned tax increases on energy. These tax increases would be implemented through a cap and trade of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas that is one of the main causes of global weirding, whose effects can be read about here.
Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States of America: " Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. "

The Obama budget brings the change we need
Despite imposing a $1.75T deficit next year (probably the largest figure I've ever written in this blog), President Obama's budget is huge. It is comparable to FDR's New Deal. I think we should call it the Real Deal.
Only a month into the presidency, Barack Obama has signed a stimulus plan that will help us get out of our current mess, and a budget that will provide us with tools to make sure we never get into another one. Part of this gargantuan amount of spending will be focused on alternative energy and healthcare.
Alternative energy spending is helpful in that it will get us off oil, preventing a large transfer of wealth out of this country, by using our own resources like natural gas, wind, and solar power.
Getting us on a universal healthcare system is also instrumental, so people without healthcare do not face bankrupty should they lose their jobs (and currently their healthcare).
