Shep Smith is one of the few people on Fox News that I respect and this says it all.  I agree with him 100%.

Happy Earth Day 2009

Happy Earth Day to everyone out there. Today is a much brighter Earth Day than in years past, with an administration that actually seems to care about the planet. Last year, we had Bush and big oil, stiffling the EPA and refusing to put a tax/true price on carbon.



Please note that this is not a partisan issue. Senator John McCain shares President Obama's views, and would have been a breath of fresh air on this issue as well.



Today is not a day for politics; it is a day to carpool, to commit to using less.

Four Corners no where it should be?

There is a lot of talk today that the Four Corners Monument (and the boundaries of Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico) measurement is off by about 2 miles.  The truth is, no state is going to get land back because of this.  There is some argument that the prime meridian was not used, but another which would change the measurement.  

More realistically though, these boundaries have been set for over 100 years, so there's no way they are changing.

Not John, McCain, but his daughter. Speaking to the Log Cabin Republicans, she discusses how many Republican norms are not in line with the current and future generations. If the GOP wants to survive, it will need to change, beginning with social policies.
