To go along with my previous post, here is a lovely satire from The Onion, that describes just how stupid the intelligent design/evolution debate is.
These are the same type of people who imprisoned Galileo for saying the Earth revolved around the sun and who make a mockery of human intelligence.

The Evangelicals are crazy and do tend to blow everything out of proportion. If people don't want to believe in evolution, they don't have to. I still think evolution and creationalism should both be taught but try not to use G-d while teaching creationalism. That's fair. Or, don't teach any of it. Let the students/people decide. I can take it/leave it.
