The federal government prosecutes companies for discriminating against sexual orientation yet it continues to do so itself. As the saying goes, it doesn't matter if you're straight as long as you can shoot straight.
As military recruiting gets tougher and tougher, why should we tell people they are ineligible just because of what sex they are attracted to?
This is a truly great decision, undoing an unfortunate act from the Clinton Administration. I think that this will make our military stronger and more accepting. Public opinion polls do show that most Americans support this type of resolution

And why would they get their asses kicked? I'm sure that a well-trained, homosexual, American soldier would give any enemy as good of a fight as anyone else.
One hundred years ago, we didn't let African Americans join the military either. It is time to stand united as Americans and reject the fucking labels that have been used for the last 2 thousand years.
I'm not saying a well-trained Homo can't fight. Some are more masculine and are tough mother-fuckers. I'm saying that other military people who hear another soldier is gay will beat the shit outta him/her and could really hurt them. I'm just talking reality.
